Shareef Muhammad

In 1994, Shareef Muhammad embarked on his Aikido journey, commencing his training under the guidance of the esteemed late Sensei Garrett Hawkins. Following the unfortunate passing of Sensei Garrett Hawkins in 1997. Mr. Muhammad pursued further Aikido training under the late Sensei Warren Jones, a classmate of Garrett Hawkins, and a respected figure in the Aikido community as a 7th degree black belt.  Sensei Jones was the founder and director of Aikido United and the Anshindokai, now led by Mr. Muhammad. Currently holding the position of head instructor at Bushinkan Dojo, Muhammad Sensei has achieved a 6th Degree black belt rank. He has also obtained a shihan teaching certificate and a 5th level weapons certification from Aikido United, solidifying his expertise as a certified instructor. Regrettably, Warren Jones Sensei passed away on January 29, 2023. Muhammad Sensei now carries on the invaluable teachings and legacy of Warren Jones Sensei, imparting his knowledge to the next generation of Aikido practitioners.
